What are the days of the week in Thai?

In casual speech the wan is often dropped, and Thursday is shortened to pá-rúe-hàt. A Thai calendar starts the week on Sunday, and a calendar or a timetable writes each day in its short form.

What year is it in Thailand?
It is 2569 in Thailand during 2026, and 2570 during 2027, because Thailand counts years in the Buddhist Era, which runs 543 years ahead of the Common Era.
To find the Thai year, add 543 to the Western year. The Buddhist Era is written with the abbreviation พ.ศ.por-sǒrbefore the year on documents, receipts and newspapers, and the year is said as one whole number, sǒrng-pan-hâa-rói-hòk-sìp-gâo for 2569. The Thai year starts on January 1, like the Western one. You will see Western years too, on flights and international sites.
How do you write and say the date in Thai?
You write and say the date in Thai as wan-tîi, then the day's number, then the month, then the Buddhist Era year, so April 13, 2026 is wan-tîi sìp-sǎam mee-sǎa-yon sǒrng-pan-hâa-rói-hòk-sìp-gâo.
Put the day of the week in front to say it in full. Most dates are written with the same digits as English, and some official documents use Thai digits.
